At the beginning of the Super S series (episode #128) chibi Usagi is visited by Pegasus in her dreams. The next morning while everyone in town is watching a total eclipse of the sun and unnoticed by anyone, a new enemy arrives. The new enemy is Zirconia; the head of the Dead Moon Circus. in the next two episodes, during battles with the new bad guys, Sailor Moon is unexpectedly assisted by Pegasus. He just quickly appears, turns Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon into their Super versions, provides Sailor Moon with a new scepter, she vanquishes the foe, then Pegasus and the new scepter disappear as Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon return to their usual Sailor Scout versions. This leaves the Sailor Scouts wondering what's going on and why Pegasus is helping them. Sailor Moon asks Sailor Chibi Moon if she knows anything, but Pegasus has asked her not to reveal that she has met him to anyone. True to her promise Sailor Chibi Moon does not tell anyone about Pegasus. In the next episode, when Pegasus appears during the battle, instead of the routine from the prior two episodes, Pegasus changes Sailor Moon's and Sailor Chibi Moon's broach into new versions with wings. Then using the phrase from the prior series when Super Sailor Moon first appeard "Moon Crisis Makeup" Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon are transformed into Super Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Chibi Moon. The new scepter is available to Sailor Moon in the usual way (just reach for it and it appears). From this point on Sailor Moon, when she has to fight for Love and Justice, transforms directly to Super Sailor Moon. However, Pegasus always appears during battle through each episode in the series to energize the new scepter.
